The Only Adult in the Room
a new blog was sent to me by email so I am passing it along here.

This blog was created out of necessity. When the best American president in decades is treated with complete disrespect and viciousness by a corrupted media and crazy racists from the right, and when many of his "supporters" simply joined them - Those who follow the facts, know the truth and understand the unprecedented hate machine that works against him - must step up and do something. So, this is my modest effort. This blog provides news, photos, videos, links, and any available information that can help spread the truth about Barack Obama's presidency. Comments are moderated, so if you're in the business of bashing and trashing this president - don't waste your hate here. The Internet is full with places for you. But, if you believe in the intelligence, the decency, the grace, the courage and the big heart of Barack Obama - Please stay, enjoy and love.

4. I can do it. Look at the deal with Tauzin and pharma
WH deals, limits exposure to any bill, promises any bill will not contain reimportation or negotiation for Medicare. Next step, House considers exactly those provisions. Tauzin cries foul. WH is forced to publicly admit they bargained away those provisions, and promised not to allow them to pass.

How would you describe those events?

prior to congressional consideration.

2. "Unprecedented hate machine"--was this person around for Clinton?
Obama seems to derange two groups of Democrats. One sees him as the plant of some corporate cabal, despite the US Chamber and the GOP's hideous attacks on him. The other sees his presidency as under serious threat of destruction by progressive bloggers no one reads.

8. It's kind of funny, in retrospect, that part of the argument for Obama in the primaries...
was that Clinton's prospective presidency would be greeted by a well experienced and eager hate machine that had developed over a decade earlier. It seems we didn't quite dodge the bullet on that one.

If you haven't noticed, it is also used on DU; talking points...
which are repeated adnauseum, without regards to any facts.

Today is "Run for the Hills, Obama wants to end Social Security"....
Which is a bunch of bullshit that apparently some folks spread around,
while other less informed start believing everything they read, even if void of any facts.

That's the Republican 2012 war room and welcome to it.
The GOP believe that since Obama won using the Internet,
they can defeat him with it.

this reminds me of the hate here of Bush which was warranted after he sent our troops into Iraq to DIE for a lie and thousands of innocent people were killed by Bush. The hate from DU for Bush is equal to the hate for Obama, a president who walked into the WH on day under the absolute worst circumstances imaginable.

30. Do you understand the clearly state objection to the 'payroll tax holiday'?
Obama may or may not want to ruin social security, but the objection to this part of that bill has been clearly stated here on DU and elsewhere on the internet. Oddly nobody from the capitulationist camp even bothers to address the objections, they just continue to insist that a gilded turd is a good thing.

15. I don't hate the President. I assume that he is honestly doing the
best he can in following his own beliefs. But, IMO, he has accelerated the rate at which the oligarchy was taking over, leaving us with very little hope that effective Presidential leadership for the Democratic Party is at least six years away, if even then. I don't hate him. But, he isn't high on my hero list either.
