Obama is slowly getting his swagger back
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 10:04 AM by truthspeak
Immediately after the mid term elections he looked like a sad, lost puppy lol...

But now with this tax deal, the speech in North Carolina, the fiery press meeting...it seems he's getting that swag back. I expect him to hit a huge home run at the State of the Union. Its gonna be a big year for the Pres in 2011...

27. What does re-election mean to you?
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 11:16 AM by truthspeak
To me, it means getting the opportunity to complete the wish list progressives want, instead of giving it to the opposition that would likely REVERSE any progress made.

But yeah, "re-election" is such a minor, unimportant thing. lol

Edited on Fri Dec-17-10 03:05 PM by politicasista

You sound like the MSM (mainstream media).

Gore and Kerry may not have "swagger" (in your and others opinions), but they have done more productive things and have more integrity in their bare hands than Bush EVER will.

As for Clinton, ok he had "swagger" until the 2008 election. He got that back and Obama, nor Gore or Kerry does not need to take lessons from him.

Obama has always had it, and he is showing that you don't need "swagger" to get things done.

It is downright disgusting that you would prop up Bush over two proven Democrats/Statesmen.

65. Bush did indeed have swagger as a candidate
You can say a lot of bad things about 'W' (and I mean a lot lol), but one thing that you can't deny is that he could connect with people as a candidate with that goofy, "i'm your buddy" persona.

I'm talking about appeal and charisma here...not accomplishments. And charisma and "swagger" has been important to win elections since JFK and later Reagan. Hell, even Bush Sr. had it over Dukakis. lol

and patriotism. The media just like to prop him up as having such, because they know that people will buy into it.

It was not until after Katrina, two wars spiraling out of control, and the economic downturn that people realized that is was fine to listen to a voice of reason in Obama.

Nope, will take the integrity of Gore, Kerry, Obama over illiterate draft dodgers like Bush, Bush Sr. and some days Bubba any day of the week.

The one where he was brittle, testy and insulted his base? The only one that I saw last week that showed a relaxed, knowledgeable president who spoke without notes or the need of a teleprompter, was the one held by president Clinton.
