Gibbs on the way out?
Among the biggest changes could be the departure of press secretary Robert Gibbs , who is said to be exploring the possibility of leaving the White House altogether, perhaps to set up his own consulting shop and play a leading role in the 2012 campaign, two Democrats said. That move could happen in the coming weeks.

I can see this happening. Gibbs has served admirably but it's probably time for a new face in the press rooml most press secretaries serve for 2-3 years. Bill Burton would do a bang-up job...

1. I've never been a fan of Gibbs. I just always got the impression he had an "us
against them" attitude. I understand his job is to present the "news" as the WH wants, but I just never liked him. Not that you asked. :7

Who is Bill Burton?

4. My personal reaction to him is negative
He's too soft spoken for me. I'd like to see a Press Secy who squares their shoulders and takes no crap - someone who gives as good as they get.

Maybe the Rude Pundit?

9. Ha! The Rude Pundit would be great!! I actually initially thought "Rachel" but
I realize the job isn't to level with the people, but rather to present the 'varnished truth'. :7

14. I never liked him either.
He always seemed arrogant and petulant. Better to get a more likable face on this administration.

7. Bring back Linda Douglass
I thought she was great as Obama's healthcare director of communications. Plus, having been a former ABC and CBS correspondent, she really knows the media.

I vote for Douglass: she's really smart and clear-headed.
