This is what Issa is going after
On Issa’s list:

• WikiLeaks' release of classified diplomatic cables
• Recalls at the Food and Drug Administration
• The role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the foreclosure crisis
• The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission's failure to identify the origins of the meltdown
• Alleged corruption in Afghanistan

23. Funny, at your link
there is nothing remotely like this:

"Read more: Issa, House GOP Preparing Major Investigations of Obama Administration
Should Congress Repeal Obama's Health Plan and Other Policies? Vote here!"

Why exactly are you upset when the poster already acknowledged that the information was from Newsmax?

24. Attack the news itself and that is just fine, leave the messenger alone
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 08:36 PM by golfguru
It really does not matter where the news came from so long as it is
truthful. The messenger did not create the news and did not say anything
favorable about the news. So stop being churlish.

I want both favorable and unfavorable news posted here
because then I can learn everything that is going on right here.
It also makes this forum more interesting. If only favorable news is posted,
it is like preaching to the choir and will lead to boredom.

26. The news source is Newsmax.
And I'll damn well will continue to point out when a RW source is cited.

Maybe you should bookmark Newsmax.

In case you haven't noticed, there have been numerous threads about Issa, his targets and others calling him out for being ridiculous.

Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 09:07 PM by golfguru
I said attacking Issa and Newsmax is just fine and expected.
Attacking the poster is not fine. Unless you have some inside information
that the poster works for Newsmax or a staffer for Issa.

And the news is NOT unique to Newsmax.....it is in every major newspaper
and every TV news program.

29. Article was on Frum's site as well as Newsmax
Google the forth bullet in quotes and see the source of the article.

That said, I would welcome Issa investigating the origins of the financial meltdown and corruption in Afghanistan. Both trails would lead to Bush/Cheney if he was honest. On the WikiLeaks issue, that could be rather amusing if they have to go through the records.

A Used car salesman who made millions on car-alarms because he was pretty experienced at auto theft (and was busted twice for it) can perhaps seek being honest, although I doubt that will happen.

33. He's just striving to convince public Obama WH is tainted with corruption
The same way Repubs tried to vilify Clintons with the endless attacks and investigations as if Bill and Hillary were in the center of the most corrupt White House in history. It didn't work then and it won't work this time except with the right wing base.
