What's The Point Of Reading The Constitution Out Loud?

That's what the "Tea Party" was supposedly about and the Republicans recognized that treating the Constitution as toilet paper under Cheney/Bush had to some degree bitten them in the ass.

Boehner; didn't help matters when he recited a few lines from the Declaration of Independence confusing it with the Constitution which he claims to carry in his pocket.

This was their attempt to brainwash the people in to believing A. the Republicans actually give a rat's ass about the Constitution, B. their majority leader knows the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, and C. an implicit/explicit message to their believers that the Democrats have gotten away from the Constitution.
