Progressives have given up one thing after another in hopes of finding some common ground with the conservative Democrats. Why is this a one-way street? Don't compromises entail both sides giving up things?

The Democrats have taken advantage of this progressive for the last time. If there isn't at the very least a medicare expansion in the final conference bill I am done with the Democratic party. Any party that gives Lieberman the deciding role in crafting an historic piece of legislation for political expediency doesn't deserve my support.

4. All I see is a forest of lobbyists and corporate tools. So much for the Democratic party being the
party of the people.

(UHC in the form of single-payer, that is)

I don't believe he ever came out and expressed strong support - to include pre-election.

5. I'd also point out that we can't even get Wyden-Bennett
An actual bi-partisan bill that is much better than the crap we're going to end up with.

6. UHC is a term not even used anymore
We've gone further and further back and made compromise after compromise. But people still want to turn a blind eye. Pathetic.
