2. I'd settle for mediocre...I'd be ecstatic if it were as good as mediocre
Edited on Tue Dec-15-09 07:03 PM by Armstead
This is far below mediocre. It is a travesty.

Force people to buy private insurance, while not providing any relief from a public health system.

That's so bad and blatantly corporate that not even Republicans would touch it.

3. Actually, we don't have a choice.
No matter what the American people want, our Congre$$ is going to do what fills their own pockets. Either way, we always foot their bills and we always lose. It's tyranny perpetrated on us by a bunch of greedy bastards. This HCR bill is Toto. It has pulled the wool off our eyes. Congre$$ can say "Never mind that man behind the curtain (big business), all they want now. We know better.

It WILL get easier once you are accustomed to the truth. Remember Santa Claus? You lived. This too, shall pass. Once the truth is not so hard to take any more, then, the real change begins.

4. I'm 57 years old. I thought I was accustomed. But they still find ways to be outrage inducing.

6. Agreed.
I hate this too. I am so unbelievably torn. I am a giant Dean supporter, and agree with his concerns. I also want very much for Democrats to succeed, and this could turn into a fiasco for not only the President but the party. While I agree with Dean that the bill is not good, I don't necessarily agree with his assumption that Democrats could pick up from this mess and restart. I just don't see it.

So, where does that leave us?
