Poll question: Will what is happening in Egypt embolden the Iranians to try again?
I think that the Iranian people will not let it sit that the Egyptians will have been successful, where they somehow failed. I think we can expect the Iranian people to try again to overthrow their government via peaceful demonstration.

I also believe that having the United States somewhat quiet and understated about what should happen in reference to the Egyptian uprising against the Egyptian government in Egypt is more beneficial to the Egyptians as well as to other countries who may want to try their hand at it....as I think to much ordering around by the United States as to how it all needs to be resolved might not be as effective as some are calculating.

What do you think?

1. This all started with the Iranians. Most people seem to have forgotten.
I'm sure that this and the success in Tunisia (was it) will definitely push them to try again.

2. It appears that many would rather not think about it.......
until it happens. Then they can justify some rationale
that will align with their own world view.

3. There is a difference....in Iran the crackdown was violent and harsh. In Egypt the
army seems to be letting the people protest.

4. The police aren't being harsh in Egypt, throwing tear gas & beating protesters?
Also I was hoping that Iranians might try again from all these successful revolutions, but since I haven't heard anything of them trying it again I'm starting to lose hope that it'll happen.

5. The police in Egypt kind of disappeared and were overwhelmed. The army
is not acting as the Revolutionary Guard did in Iran. There is way more fear of a violent crackdown in Iran. Throwing tear gas was pretty tame in comparison to shooting people on the streets which is what happened in Iran.
