MSNBC: Cenk interviews Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) about taxes being lowest since 1950

Video: Taxes remain at lowest point since 1950s

On Thursday, House Republicans will propose cuts to spending, which will defund among other things regulating banks and food safety. Referring to the tanning tax, 0.9% Medicare tax, and tobacco tax that Obama signed: "Yes, Snooki and John Boehner will have to pay a bit more to maintain their orange glow, but I don't think anyone really believes these are major tax hikes." Also Cenk brings up the 90% tax rates from the '40s to the Kennedy administration; that era included WWII and the Korean War. He believes that reason requires taxes to be between the extremes - the 90% tax rates of the "golden age of America" and a 61-year low.

2. WI with a GOP governor and now a heavy GOP majority legislature just passed a bill

that makes any tax increase or fee increase have to be passed by a 2/3 vote. WI is going to go the way of California. It's not going to be pretty and lots of people are going to be hurt.
