4. Why not? Anyone getting that position in Virginia will be a Moderate.
I'd prefer Kaine over George Allen any day.

7. I agree. He will do less damage as a senator, esp if he is really electable (of which
I am not sure, despite the polls, because he is so hapless!)

8. Kaine is suited to run in Virginia.
Edited on Fri Feb-18-11 02:32 PM by Dawson Leery
A fairly popular former Governor (Kaine) vs. a klansman (Allen).

9. I thought that "Blue Dogs" were the spawn of the Republican Devil
or something like that around here? I keep hearing that they're nothing more than Republicans masquerading as Dems?

10. Kaine is opposed to many facets of equal rights for all
He should not be allowed anywhere near the Senate with a D by his name. He needs to spend more time with family.

11. You'd rather have him making federal law than raising money?
Sometimes I wonder if people left their thinking caps at home.

12. Tim Kaine has been raising money. I thought he spent two years developing a new logo
for the Democratic Party.

:wtf:

14. Actually, I think they raised a record amount last year
It didn't help with the elections, but they raised it. So yeah, I guess he can raise money.

15. No, because people still think the DNC Chair controls strategy when the party is in power
Once again people the DNC Chair DOES NOT CONTROL STRATEGY when the party is in the White House.

13. No thanks. Maybe someone less inept and wrong on everything can play "moderate"
and win the seat.
