Obama's response to the recent crisis in Wisconsin? A twitter message from his Press Secretary
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 04:25 PM by Cali_Democrat
Well I guess it's better than nothing...

PressSec: POTUS says we must come together & set aside partisanship to fix our budgets. Actions last night in #Wisconsin violate those principles.

22. Maybe "captured" is the wrong word - both Clinton and Obama seem...
...to have gone willingly.

3. Which actions in WI?
My first reaction was to take it as a condemnation of the demonstrators.

On reflection, though, I suspect he'd say both sides are in the wrong or something like that.

4. The OP would like us to believe he's talking about the demonstrators.
But the reference to LAST NIGHT pretty clearly refers to the GOP ramming the bill through.

7. Your post pretty clearly fails to cite where the word "GOP" is mentioned
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 04:00 PM by brentspeak
The Democratic party leadership has been emasculated from "Give 'em Hell" Harry Truman to Barack "Have Your Press Secretary Twitter a vague centrist plea for bipartisanship" Obama.

Stop it, you're killing me

One of the biggest battles for the middle class in decades and Obama has resorted to tweets from his press secretary.

5. So is he for or against the demonstrators/union-busting?
Sadly it is hard to know which direction the POTUS leans because his history shows he will favor the side that seems to be winning and it being rammed through he just might favor republicans now and wish for the demonstrators to put aside their partisonship and accept it. Hard to say. Glad i am not american.

9. Obama is conflict phobic so he loses great opportunities to advance.
Plus, he's a pollyanna with his head in the sand. What a loss.

11. Union busting fixes budgets how?
I am so sick of hopey, changey bipartisanship. The top 1% needs to start making some sacrifices in the name of the budget crisis, they could have started by giving up their Bush tax cuts.

Why would it not be acceptable?
