Have you noticed? Our right-wing media is now poo-poohing Sarah Palin
Edited on Sat Mar-19-11 03:00 AM by Keith Bee
Obviously, the corporate whores have received Their Instructions: Half-Gov Youbetcha doesn't have a chance in Hell of defeating Obama, therefore they are now struggling to minimize her chances of getting the GOP nomination, despite the fact that wingnuts still love her.

(Isn't it time that Politico changed its name to Politburo? Their attempts to steer public opinion to the right are now pathetically visible. Mind you, they are far from being alone.)

In the end, however, I don't think it makes a damn's worth of difference who the Republican nominee is: The economy is slowly but steadily improving, so unless a videotape emerges showing Obama beating a nun, I don't think the President will have a tough time winning reelection. Come to think of it, even if such a recording were to surface, it shall have little impact, thanks to Messrs. O'Keefe and Breitbart.

2. No credible Republican nominee has yet stepped up to be the sacrificial lamb.
There's very little chance Obama can be defeated in 2012 and they know that.

5. ...and she doesn't know it.....because...
she believes her own hype.
She has done the impossible. Pissed off too many of the bigshots. She called her boss for advise, an asshole named Alies..and although Alies told her to do one thing, she did the opposite...very smart...
This Alies character has a whole lot of pull in Pukeland...and so do some other Pukes she has angered..

..The only thing that will convince Sara that she is through, is that her own speaking engagements..dry up.
..No more easy money..then she will wonder what went wrong. She looses her job with Alies. (could happen) gets a lot less TV time, and oops, she is a hasbeen. And she doesn't even know why. Good

6. I disagree. I think Obama will be a one term president. The corporations
are going to be able to spend freely scaring the piss out of everyone during the next election cycle. You can't even imagine how bad things are going to get.

30. Hahaa. Oh wait, you're being serious.
I guess that's why all the potential Republican nominees are elbowing each other to get to the front of the pack...oh, wait, that isn't happening either.

It will be either Mittens, or Pawlenty, and either way Mr. Obama gets re-elected.

26. You may be right about the media, but I think
Obama's done a good job of destroying himself. Or at least destroying his chances at re-election. All he had to do in 2010 was turn out the Democrats who voted for him in 2008. Many of them were young people, 23 million or so. Only 9 million of them showed up to vote in 2010.

When both parties favor the wealthy, what's the point in voting? I hope a challenger to Obama emerges during the primaries. An Alan Grayson or Russ Feingold would get my attention right quick.

27. Feingold, yes. Grayson, NO.
There's something about that guy that I simply don't trust.

As to Russ, he would do better to keep his powder dry for a later run: A primary challenge would merely increase the chance of a President Romney or :scared: President Sarah.

9. The economy is an ongoing disaster, on track for 15 straight years of no net job growth
Of course it's much better to be on the up side of a business cycle than the downside, but the utterly appalling "new normal" has not been changed for the last three business cycles.

10. I agree, and would add that Obama is not going to have clear sailing
through the 2012 election. Old establishment Republicans are finding it hard to deal with their new Tea Party cohorts. Just like we have a hard time holding a coalition together in the Senate, they're having a hard time holding a coalition together in the House.

Old establishment Republicans are going to push any Tea Party type out of the way.

18. Unemployment increased in most Urban area last month
The Labor Department said Friday that the unemployment rate rose in 351 metro areas, fell in only 16, and was unchanged in 5. That’s worse than December, when the rate fell in 207 areas and increased in 122.

I was told all the voting machines were rigged, so they could keep her away from the nomination without the extra expense of paying the media.

... is that even they realize now that she would be difficult to control. At least "W" did what he was told, Palin would be a very dangerous wild card to them.

In spite of all evidence to the contrary, they will continue to insist Obama engaged in nun punching, and the media will cover this for months and months.

Good job. Thanks a lot. :eyes:

22. Most MSM is corporate right wing, including CNN
Edited on Sat Mar-19-11 03:54 PM by on point
Just because they tell the truth about how loony she is doesn't make them left wing it just makes them not part of loony delusional right wing. Ever notice the push polling they do on the internet? A study on this would be great. They frame things in right wing terms, keep up polls that are somewhat right wing winning forever, but take down any poll that is against right wing in hours.

Here is a big for instance, they never asked how many people were in favor of public option or single payer.

Only asked people if in favor HCR AFTER it was passed, when many including me did not like it because of Mandate with no public option. Good way to muddy the waters and start the push against HCR.

Palin's timing was off big time when she made her statement about blood libel. That seemed to be the turning point in the MSM support of her and hanging on her every tweet.

She's been used up and thrown away, just like every other useful idiot.

And I agree that the big shots in the GOP have finally concurred that she would be difficult, if not impossible to control, if she ever (heaven forbid) became President.

Remember how so many voters were fooled by the media into believing that GWBush was a moderate conservative?
