Why isn't the White House Drug Deal a bigger outrage here?
I mean the PO is important, but cutting a private deal with Pharma seems like it would cause some outrage!

11. I remember that.
But there was nothing that could be done. Rahm Emanuel was grinning his big ole DLC grin denying it even happened at first.

Then it got sorta forgotten.

Then it got used as a reason the fuck people over.

but there are people here who i believe are paid to shut down any debate or info getting to the masses about it..

some of us who posted about it many months ago were called liars..or worse..so the fuckers shut down discourse on the subject!

26. Because most of us never expected it
It was given away a long time ago, when Obama first made the deal with Pharma.

Thing was, we were to get the PO and/or expanded medicare in exchange for this.

Mandates and No Imports for Public Option.

Now we get Mandates and No Imports. And that's it.

make it legal to import Drugs (medicines) from Canada, etc
so people can obtain them at a better price.

Of course this is a direct dig at Obama who undercut the
Dorgan Ammendment to HIR.

38. At the time it happened, it WAS an outrage and was commented on extensively
but, we have to just move along from outrage to outrage. It reliably pops up when it once again becomes relevant, like right now after drug re-importation just went down with a strange cast of characters and no plausible reason except to protect the White House agreement. Oh, and that "other" reason.

41. Because there is no real difference between Democrats and Republicans?
Nothing suprises me anymore.

After Clinton I thought there was little difference between Bush and Gore.

Then after Bush won and the history that followed I decided I was WRONG and kicked myself in the ass for voting for Nader.

Then the dems got congress and Obama won and it has taken me about a year to determine I was right in the first place.

There is no party representing the working people anymore.

46. I'm glad you noticed.
I can't be the only one who knows family and friends struggling to pay the prescription bills.

Obama promised them all year long he would make it where they could get their meds from Canada.

Then, he worked his White House to make sure it didn't happen.

This is betrayal and it really cuts into the weakest, poorest, oldest and most vulnerable in our society.

This pissed me off more than his fucking war.

He fucking lied throughout his campaign about this.

And thank you for bringing it up again. I guess I'm not the only one.

This was wicked.
