Wonder how they will spin Newt's lack of military
experience? I mean, compared to him, GWB was a 4-star general.

6. It takes brass balls to cheat on your sick wife, then cheat on your mistress when she gets sick.
Soldiers have brass balls (if you'll pardon the gender non-neutral expression) so that gives him the same thing as military experience, right?

7. He was too patriotic to sign up
He needed to stay alive so he could run for office and work really really hard to the point of cheating on his cancer stricken wife while leading the charge to Impeach a president for cheating on his wife. But then he found Jesus and was saved. True success story of a great American patriot.

It's all about priorities. Being a patriotic douchebag was his top priority. What's not to love?

9. Typical liberal left wing drivel
Everybody knows he was in the first wave on Normandy Beach, was wounded
five times when he singlehandedly drove the Nazis off Hill 881, and then
beat the Commie Chinese at Inchon. There were massive records of this,
including the picture of the Bible he carried in his breast pocket next to his heart that
stopped the bullet when Newt jumped in front of Reagan to save his life.
The records were stored at MGM studios in Georgia but were lost in the
fire when Sherman burned Atlanta.

Don't you leberals ever study history?

I would have been happy if he went to three meetings of the Montana Coast Guard Auxiliary, but now knowing this, I think he may have my vote!

11. I don't think it will matter, but other things will
He'll end up with foot in mouth sooner or later. Remember he had to resign in shame in the 90s. And no one cares about him or knows him. He isn't leading anything or anyone. At least not directly.

And he never makes sense when he speaks. He has his own version of word salad.

Really. No one gives a shit about him and he'll never fire anyone up about anything.

14. The last successful candidate with any significant military experience was Bush I
And then he got beat for reelection by someone with no experience. So it really doesn't mean anything anymore.

26. Rumor has it that Gingrich was one of the special ops who went after Bin Laden.
Unfortunately, he found the porn stash, and they had to leave him behind.
