Joey Farah unhappy with Esquire's parody about Corsi's book this morning
Edited on Wed May-18-11 03:13 PM by Hokie
The irony just jumps right out of the Intertoobs. :)

National mag publishes fabricated report attacking Corsi book
Esquire claims best-seller being disavowed by publisher, 'pulled from shelves'

A major national publication that endorsed Barack Obama for president in 2008 today published a completely fabricated news story claiming Jerome Corsi's new best-selling "Where's the Birth Certificate," published by WND Books, has been disavowed by the publisher and taken out of stores nationwide, with refunds offered to purchasers.

Esquire, established in 1932, alleged on its website today under a "BREAKING" headline that Corsi's book was "pulled from shelves!"

Media are calling WND from around the world about the false report.

WND founder and CEO Joseph Farah confirmed he never spoke to Esquire.

Someone told a lie about you on the internet Joey? At least this clearly satire. When WND does it they don't tag it as humor.

2. WND has a history of threats but will not follow through
Last year they sued the White House Correspondents Association over their seating at the annual dinner. They filed the suit but let it die a natural death by failing to file a response.

3. That's really too bad
The longer this stays in the headlines, the better for the Democrats. I want every pub running to have this hung around their necks - make them take a position on it and piss off their freeper base.

4. I just heard on local talk radio

that Corsi's big interview on Hannity's radio show has been canceled inexplicably at the last minute. Maybe Fox reined Hannity in?

----------

Added on Edit:

Sean Hannity is a coward. This is from Jerome Corsi’s Facebook page:

At the last minute HANNITY CANCELLED — I guess joining Bill O’Reilly to dismiss the “Birthers” — we had keep the first radio for Hannity for 3 months. He cancelled today. STEVE MALZBERG gets the first interview later this afternoon. Call Hannity and let him know what you think.

6. Hannity is stupid but not insane
The powers at be at Fox News have figured out the birthers are toxic. However, some Republicans had found that paying lip service to the birther concerns played well with keeping down Obama's poll numbers so they encouraged them at arms length. Now the same Republican establishment would drown them if they thought no one was watching. As one who has made it a hobby to watch these morons since 2008 I can tell you the release of the LFBC will not make them go away. Like all true conspiracy theorists more evidence just makes them more hardened in their beliefs.

5. WND publishes fake news stories all the time. And they aren't parody.
