Palin Insists She Has "Fire in the Belly"

Sarah Palin was asked on Fox News why she hasn't made a decision about a presidential bid and whether she has the necessary drive to run.

Said Palin: "Oh, that's a great question. I think my problem is that I do have the fire in my belly. I am so adamantly supportive of the good, traditional things about America and our free enterprise system, and I want to make sure that America is put back on the right track, and we only do that by defeating Obama in 2012. I have that fire in my belly."

"It's a matter for me of some kind of practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made. One is, with a large family, understanding the huge amount of scrutiny and the sacrifices that have to be made on my children's part in order to see their mama run for president. But yes, the fire in the belly? It's there!"

and when I read the words I can actually hear her shrill voice too. Very creepy.

The last few times I've seen her on TV, I did notice that she was not as confident and cocky as she used to be. I think she's finally burned out or getting there.

.... to seem to go together into a coherent sentence let alone a paragraph. One of my favorite Palin moments
was when she was doing an interview w/ Hannity and you could see her reading the answers to the questions
as she was sitting down and to the right and when Ms. Palin and Hannity were walking and "talking" her answers
were off and to the left.

from her early political career and she talked fairly normal and was surprisingly quite coherent. Also her voice wasn't high and shrill the way it is now.

I think being thrust onto the national stage was too much for her and she just doesn't have the necessary resources or knowledge to draw upon. I know what she's doing during those "word salad" moments. She is so nervous and out of her element, that she is filling every empty moment with words and phrases. It reminds me of a child who didn't study their homework assignment or who got in trouble and has to face the consequences.

She may not be as dumb as she appears. It could be her problem is an inability to admit she just doesn't know something and ask questions.

Whatever it is, she is still one of the most annoying people on TV.

Can you imaging her as president and we had to listen to her screechy voice for 4 years? I'd never watch a political speech again and maybe I'd aget all my info from DU where I wouldn't have to listen.

After eight years of Bush, we've paid our dues. 4 years of Sarah would be more than I could bare.

Now I'm sure to have nightmares tonight.

Fire Palin? Sounds better than Trig.
