Interesting Republicans were so quick to condemn Obama for being in Europe during the tornado...
...in Joplin, yet I never saw the Republican candidates, many of whom who literally do not have a job (I'm looking at you, Palin, Romney and Gingrich), offering to help with clean up and rescue measures.

Not that they should have - because I doubt the crews there would want the added burden. But what exactly did these candidates do for Joplin the past week?

Bottom line, as Pres. Obama played Consoler in Chief, Palin was gallivanting around Washington looking for a good photo op.

I wonder if Laura Ingram will complain about that?

1. I am not so sure about that.

I know many people are represented as they are not.

Continually there has been that effect, and once that is seen done to some, you have to ponder if it is done to many, including people like Palin.

I think she is still learning, as all of us are, and it is difficult sometimes, and even though I disagree with the presentation of who she is by the media, and do not agree with the use of her distorted to present a different meaning, I don't think that says anything about her.

Although she does not have to be, or can be a candidate, to still be who she is. Although would you know who that is by TV?

2. Obama was across the ocean. It's not like he was playing the guitar & presenting
birthday cakes like Bush did after Katrina. A state department visit, a commitment that requires months of preparations, is quite acceptable as an excuse.

A sociopathic president who is clueless in how to react to people in dire need wouldn't hesitate in allowing the press to photograph him acting silly with a guitar in California or presenting a silly birthday cake to one of his cronies in Arizona. Bush is the one who will forever be known as shirking his responsibility during a disaster. LBJ was there on the ground the day after Betsy hit, cutting all red tape to get in supplies & manpower.

5. His staff was so afraid of him they created a DVD about Katrina to show him
as Air Force One was flying back to Washington. They knew he'd be pissed about cutting his vacation short. link
