After seeing the Romney interview, I see only one real dif between he and Palin
After listening to the staged sound bites from Romney's inteview with NBC, I can see only one significant difference between Mittens and the Moose Hunter -- Romney is blue-blood, old money and well educated. Palin is a small-town hack, new rich, and dumb as a stump. Otherwise, they say the exact same thing: NOTHING.

Listen to Romney...he launches charge after charge against Obama without once offering any explanation or an any detail. He just says "Obama is the worst thing ever!" "Obama has no foreign policy!" "Obama destroyed the economy!" He's just tossing red meat to the base. But there is no substance, no follow through, not a single fact to back up his commercial-ready sound bites...because the facts don't back them up.

Palin does the same thing. She says stuff she's heard in the news, or what she's reading off her hand, or what her handler told her to say, none of it means anything. "I love our free enterprise system!" "I got a fire in my belly!" "Obamacare is socialism!" She is, quite frankly, stupid. But she and Romney are identical in every other regard -- pure show, not an ounce of substance.

It's going to be an interesting race. Not that I believe Palin is actually running.

2. When Fox is all you watch, all that goes for granted. No proof necessary.
Saw Oreilly do that with Jon Stewart. They want common knowledge to trump facts. Facts are for elitists. Feelings of average fearmongered americans are what counts. Like rule by Luntz poll.

And if he did...it kinda creeps me out.

His "Hey, look, I'm a normal guy!" routine is ridiculous. Give it up, Mittens.

4. Between 'he' and Palin? That grammar correction aside...
How about that Jamie Gangel? She's quite the Bush family/GOP go to for a mainstream media interview. She never fails to disappoint--the GOP!

6. Knowing which pronoun to use can be tricky - but here's a failsafe way to always know
It's always difficult to know whether to use "he" or "him" or "she" or "her" or "I" or "me" when using them in conjunction with another person, but here's a way to always get it right . . .

If you're not sure, for example, whether to say "I see only one real dif between he and Palin" or "I see only one real dif between him and Palin," just drop out the other person and try the sentence with only the pronoun you're not sure about:

"I see only one real dif between he . . ." or "I see only one real dif between him . . . " You'll almost always be able to tell right away which is the correct one.

Another example, "I can't believe the press is giving so much attention to him and Palin" or "I can't believe the press is giving so much attention to he and Palin." Take Palin out of the sentence and the right pronoun will be clear: "I can't believe the press is giving so much attention to he" obviously isn't right, but "I can't believe the press is giving so much attention to him" is obviously correct. Then just stick Palin back in there and you have a grammatically correct sentence.

To the OP - I'm not being snarky or critical - just wanted to offer this suggestion because it's done me much good over the years!

8. No snark taken. Me appreciates the guidelines.
Funny thing is, it's not a mistake I usually make, just a brain fart. But I did find your explanation helpful. Thank you.

10. Looks like the OP did read your post and appreciated your grammar lesson.

:) Shorter version, drop the other person after the preposition and it's readily apparent you use the objective case--him, not he.
