What is CNN doing
having a "Tea Party" representative present for a discussion of Rick Scott's plan to drug screen welfare recipients? I was watching CNN yesterday afternoon while they were discussing the issue and they had a Florida "Tea Party" leader on to discuss their *perspective* on the issue. Are they now a defacto political party or something? What would their "stake" in the issue be? I will also note the absence of a Democratic Party or Green Party representative on the program to discuss the issue.
:wtf: :banghead:

4. I had to also sit around and listen to endless breathless discussions of Weinergate

I used to watch CNN back in the 90's and was just shocked at how trashy it's become while I was watching it yesterday. :puke:

5. My father-in-law watches it, unfortunately
He's 87, and CNN has become his only source of "news".

This weekend he was fussing about the need to cut the national debt GOP-style. This surprised us, since he's always been a Democrat, and a progressive one in many ways.

My husband had an intense discussion with his father, citing the many counter-arguments against focusing on the debt at this time, especially when it was created by the Bush Misadministration.

We couldn't figure out where his dad was getting these ideas, until he revealed that CNN had become his sole news source. He seemed to think it was reasonably unbiased.

6. They don't need Dems or Greens for balance...
... what they need are some Marxists, Socialists, and other members of the far left spectrum for real balance.

Not that I necessarily agree with the Marxists, etc, but the far right should be balanced with the far left... and not what I would consider moderates!
