1. No, only the "we" who voted Republican or the "we" who did not vote for Obama.
Many times "we" get what we do not deserve. For instance, here in Wisconsin I voted in the election last November. I voted for the Democrat Barrett over Walker in the gubernatorial race and for Feingold over Johnson in the Senate. Did I deserve to get the nutcase Walker as my governor or to lose Feingold as one of my U.S. senators?

However, if Obama somehow does lose the election next year and the Republicans also take the Senate, then welcome to the hell we now know in Wisconsin, but on a national level as the Republicans quickly move to destroy the nation and hand its wealth over to the rich.

7. If republicans win the highest office and the senate you should kiss your butt good bye. There will
no longer be checks and balances. Of course as usual the republicans will always blame the democrats. The democrats have no balls.

8. Tell me about it...I live in Wisconsin. Our Dems are finding balls here,
and we are having unprecedented recall elections in our senate and next year we will recall the governor.

The trouble is that the Republicans control everything: the governorship, both houses of the legislature, as well as the supreme court. Imagine what this would be like on a national level. Republicans would move quickly to crush every and any social program, anything that helps the poor or the needy or the elderly, and they would do all in their power to move as much wealth to the rich as possible.

20. Yes, voting for the losing candidate does not make one a noncitizen.
As a citizen of WI, you deserved it. Along with all the others.

25. "We" is a representation of America as a whole
No, you & I won't be voting Republican, but "our" country might.

5. "They" who? The Republicans are holding this country hostage in the hope that the economy will tank.
Many idiot Americans, including some Democrats, will then blame the president/Democratic Party for this.

If we don't wake up and see what's happening right before our eyes and wise up to what the Republicans are doing to this country, we've already lost!!!

10. 'They' congressional republicans
'We will not deal with blackmailers'.

If Democrats give in to this ultimate blackmail the country is finished. The blackmailing will get more and more viscous and dangerous. At what point do the cowards stop playing into the republican threats? Where will it stop? When the GOP starts threatening to level cities with nuclear bombs if they don't get their way?

3. Harry Truman said: 'Given a choice between a democrat who acts like a republican or a republican...
... the people will always choose the republican'.

Don't shoot the messenger.

4. If people think there's only a dime's difference between Pres Obama and the R's
then they're going to be in for an ugly refresher on what R's are really about if they make that kind of choice this time.

And if anyone thinks a Republican administration would have bothered to accomplish what this administration has to date, they they have their head up a dark place.

22. What the hell did that mean?
I've seen it quoted on DU a gazillion times, but it still makes no sense. It does not end the argument as people seem to think it does.

All it seems to say to me is that the people prefer Republicans.

And the Republicans could easily say the same thing. They have people they think are RINO's etc.

It means democrats should be bold and assertive to follow through on democratic goals and principles. Quit being DINOs - ok?

24. Yeah, now as to what those are
That's another question.

But the context might help, rather than just mindlessly repeating that nonsense. Why would people who want Democrats to be further to the left vote for Republicans - that is shooting oneself in the foot.

And some Republicans would say the same thing about RINOs.

11. I see, it's not the Administration's fault.
It's the fault of whiners and Congress.

Thanks for clearing that up.

15. Here's What We Will Get with A Republican President
1. Massive tax cut for the very wealthy which will lead to even bigger deficits.

2. An end to Medicare which will be replaced with vouchercare, and then the vouchers will be cut.

3. A new war in Iran.

4. A complete destruction of our public education system.

IOW, our transformation to a 3rd world nation will be complete. No middle class. Just the uber wealthy and everyone else is poor.

16. which of these hasn't Obama waffled on? And for the third, he has appointed an architect
of the destruction of public ed as his ed secretary.

Obama is better than the GOP alternative, but at best because he is slow-walking some of the harmful projects the oligarchy is demanding rather than actively opposing them.

17. Like this isn't going to happen with Obama.
And fwiw some republican candidates are actually more anti war than Obama. They won't win, but to say that any republican elected would go to war with Iran is incorrect.

21. I don't believe in collective punishment
I damned well don't deserve the results of stupid voting by uniformed idiots, even when those idiots are the majority.

Although I have some small power, just like everyone else, to try to fix that idiocy, I don't deserve punishment for not pulling off a magic trick to overcome all of that idiocy myself.
