12. What would you talk about daily? Let's take a guess....
You have 5 hours a week to comment on political matters of the day.

Over 20 hours a month.

The show must follow a specified format, as all shows do.

People must watch your show, or there's no purpose for it to exist.

There must be variety in the topics. And the topics should be, of course, topical.

Are you saying you would NOT cover the presidential election campaigning going on?

Tweety covers:

Elections and everything associated with that
Debates
Iraq War
Afghanistan War
Birthers being nuts
Obama's polls
GOP's chances at winning elections (Congressional and Presidential)
Scandals
Tea partiers
Libertarians
Democrats
Taxes
Deficits
Changes to Social Security being proposed or discussed
Changes to Medicare being proposed or discussed
Anything that is going on in the news that is politically related
Killing of OBL
Terrorism (or perceived terrorism)
The hearings about muslims being radicalized and similarity to McCarthy-ism
Israel and those issues with the Palestinians
Political speeches given
Political gaffs and mistakes (like Gingrich's)
And on and on and on.

He covers a wide variety of topics. He's a political commentator and has a lot of air time to fill, and comments and has guests to comment on things of that nature that the public wants to hear about.

5. Because what he loves is the DRAMA of politics
It's the drama that gets his interest and him going, not the policies

7. Because campaign ads make a lot of money for the MSM
His job is to hype it up. It's a horse race and the Media Whores love the money it makes for them.

11. He talks about a lot of things every day. Besides, EVERYONE is thinking about the election...
coming up. Debates have started, candidates have announced, ads are out, attacks have started. Obama started his campaigning a few months ago.

I suspect you don't like Tweety and look for any reason to criticize him. But he is one of the ones most responsible for the viewpoint that the birthers are nuts. He harped on it DAILY, and actually called them crazy, had them on the show & debated them & showed them evidence and made them look silly. He was right. No other commentator was doing that. They were treating the birthers like they were legitimate people with a fact-based perception...which is a lie. They are nuts and pursue that line for political reasons and hatred.

14. Because the Anthony Weiner story is more or less dead
and otherwise, there's not much interesting going on politically. We already know the economy is slipping while employment opportunities are once again dwindling, and the republicans won't let anything get done to even attempt to fix it.

And besides, it's hard not to want to talk about the republican primary freak show.
