The MSM is using her to keep Sarah out of the picture.

A Cain/Bachman ticket would please me greatly.
We need people who BELIEVE in Conservative values and are unabashed about them.
It is the shrinking RINOs who undermine our chances of success in 2012. And that election is for all the marbles: Whether or not the USA is up for purchase for many generations.

This is probably going to sound very ‘fringe’ to you, but is it just possible Bachmann is going about her business and the media is just reporting it, without thinking of Palin at all?

What a load of sour grapes. Good Heavens.
Palin hasn't announced. There is no "picture" for her to be kept out of. Palin doesn't hold elected office. Bachmann does.
What, precisely, would you like the media to do? Ignore Bachmann in favor of Palin?
Bachmann has announced. Not Palin. Bachmann is giving press conferences, taking questions, and is doing interviews. Not so much for Palin. Bachmann is lining up donors, talking policy, and is doing all the things people do when they run for office. Palin is not.
Is Bachmann supposed to be ignored until Palin decides? Can there only be one woman in the race?
Maybe Palin thinks that waiting is a good idea (assuming she plans to run). Maybe waiting is a good idea. But the rest of the world and all of the other politicians aren't required to wait for her. She is owed nothing since she hasn't announced.
