There's Alvin Greene:

And Randall Terry:

Take your pick, but if you want to stop Obama you are all probably going to have to get behind one of these guys or you will split the anti-Obama vote.

1. Actually my nominee would be either
Alan Grayson or Russ Feingold.

2. Ha
If the economy doesn't dramatically improve the nomination is near worthless. I used the qualifer or weasel word "near" because the Pubs can nominate a completely implausible candidate or a center right third party can siphon off enough vote to allow Obama to slip in with a plurality.

5. I don't even know how or why Randall Terry can run as a Democrat...
but Fred Phelps calls himself one too. Maybe those that are crazy enough to warrant institutionalization want to call themselves Dems just because the association will hurt the party more?

7. +1. You can bet this is just an upgraded version of what we saw in the special elections in WI...
Repukes running as Dem spoilers. Thankfully, it didn't work. No "Democrat" is going to do what's being suggested by outside forces. Because no "Democrat" wants a repeat of Carter/Kennedy. However, I sure wish Bernie Sanders would either join the party and primary the president himself, or STFU? But we all know he won't do that, and I think we all know why. ;)

12. Bernie needs to join the party if he wants to primary
Don't know why he doesn't run for Pres every election, given that he is the nation's highest ranking socialist.

11. Where's the insult?
There's talk all over this forum about how people have given up on Obama, they're done, they're not voting for him in 2012, they need a "real" Democrat.

So that's permissible, but it's not OK to ask if they plan to follow through?

16. They are the most credible Democrats who are running against the President
Which is why the idea of running against President Obama in the Democratic primary is nonsense.
