Don't Look Now But The Dow Is Down More Than Four Hundred Points
Way to go, Teabaggers. The economy is like a patient on life support and the austerity measures you forced on us are like a pillow.

Thanks.

Not.

2. Can we compromise with the Dow? Maybe agree on 300 points down?

3. Ah, yes, a pillow....placed over our faces to suffocate us to death!
One way of cutting health care costs, I suppose...

(For the irony-impaired, I am being ironic!)

6. It's also because of what's happening in Europe - which also has a lot to do with austerity.

If people realize that the economic turmoil is in large part because of what's going on in other parts of the world, Obama shouldn't get blamed too much.

Therein lies the problem: How many Americans can be convinced of that?

Most people who have much of an idea of what's going on already vote - and they usually vote one way or the other in most elections.

9. Recessions Are Caused By Lack Of Aggregate Demand (Spending)
Duh.

The consumer isn't spending.

Let's cut government spending too.

The stupid is contagious.

10. Yes. Teabaggers have convinced too many people that government spending hurts the economy.
Edited on Thu Aug-04-11 02:28 PM by UrbScotty
That theory doesn't hold up against reality, but how many people have time to understand that?
