Finally something I can agree with him on. NCLB was a drain on the states, local schools, adminustartion, and teachers. I just hope this doesn't make things worse.

4. He's just replacing it with Race to the Top Reforms
Which are even more punitive and focused on endless test-prep and teacher evaluations based on test-scores.

5. No CLB is BS
I don't support focusing so highly on standardized tests, for all the usually cited reasons.

But this is sort of BS too - the reason they are doing this is because so many of the schools are "failing" - the whole provision was that if a school was "failing" according to the nclb tests, then the child could go to another school. Basically, so many were going to be failing that there was no practical way for it to work.
