6. and, that's been their strategy since before he took office
the GOP knew it was bad, so they put all their eggs in the basket of trying to keep things bad in hopes of Obama losing in 2012.

Unfortunately, payback is a bitch.
I don't know if the democrats have it in them, but the next Republican in the White House may see similar roadblocks thrown in their path.

I've always believed the Dems helped sabotage GW Bush when he was in office by allowing him free hand in expanding his policies. It's my observation that Pelosi famously took impeachment "off the table" and gave revenue deficit and war spending a green light knowing full well that the economy would tank and the voters would blame the Republicans in 2008.

Now this guerrilla politics has snowballed to the point that the two parties are so at odds with each other that government has become completely dysfunctional. There is no one available who can work with any bipartisan support from the opposition party. I believe that pandora was initially let out of the box during the Clinton years.

17. Yea. No one mentions all the state fund cutting that is leading to job losses when
referring to the unemployment rates. These governors are actively trying to take away jobs and then turn around and blame it on the President. And so do a whole lot of others, including people on this board.

If there weren't so many drastic spending cuts in so many states there would not be such the high unemployment rate that there is.

And even as I write this I know certain people are not going to believe it and would rather just continue to blame the president for all the unemployment.

18. Thanks, Maraya.
I read a really interesting article yesterday that says Rick Perry's one claim to fame (that Texas created jobs while the rest of the country lost jobs) was based solely on jobs in the PUBLIC SECTOR.

Mr. "I hate Government" owes all of his success to the government. And with Texas about to have spending cuts like the ones you mentioned, those government jobs that are the secret to his success will be gone. Wonder if Texas will blame him for that the way he's tried to blame Obama?

Because that is for their own overpaid, ivory tower dwelling political strategists to figure out. And they won't. Because that ivory tower makes it awfully hard to see things clearly.

16. The sad irony...
...is that Mr. Luckovich plies his wares in one of the reddest of the reds and get nothing but jabs from the readers of the Atlanta Journal & Constitution. One day he'll decide to go some place that truly appreciates his talent...then again, I'd like to know where that is myself, cause it's gettin' pretty damn ugly down this way. These people are driven by hate, prejudice and greed and are damn proud of it.

24. Don't forget
also doing everything they can to block an economic recovery so that Americans will suffer even more and supposedly blame Obama with the result that they will vote against all Democrats next year. I think it becomes more and more obvious that so-called Republicans are the enemy of 98% of the American people. Many of them richly belong in prison.

Hint. It's not the American people!

25. Treason has worked well for them
The great Thom Hartmann discusses the acts of treason from the last four republic Presidents. It is well within the character of national republic Leaders to destroy the bottom 98% in America to defeat Obama, if history is any indication. It is amazing that we Americans are pretty much blind to the treason and treachery taking place every day on our Political stage.
