1. Yeah ...
first off, Rove is doing whatever he can to be a thorn in Perry's side, he WANTS Palin to run to try to split votes off of Perry to get Romney back on top.

That being said, I have contended all along that Palin HAS to run. She can only stay on the fringes and hijack events so long before she gets backbenched. She HAS to run to stay at the front of the moneymaking line for conservatives.

NOW, is she going to run to win?

Nope. She can't and she knows it.

But, she has to run.

Also, the exit strategy is already written - evil liberal press was unfair to the conservative woman ... It is one of the benefits of being a republican in general, but it is a position she has down PAT - you get to throw bombs AND play the victim ...

3. Sarah could split off enough of the wing nut vote to hand the nomination to Romney.
A perfectly Rovian outcome.

4. The Panel on Fox Evening News says yes, but I still wonder
if this is another Sarah Ploy to hold power and
be king maker. The word is Sarah is having a big
rally in early Sept and they're speculating she
is going to throw her hat in the ring. WHAT IF
Sarah has decided it is time to get this Primary
down to two contestants so the winner can start
some serious fund raising and making serious plans.
In other words this thing has dragged out long enough.
So Queen Sarash holds her rally and annoints one
of the contestants--gives him or her the coveted
Palin Endrosement. Suddenly the Primary is down
to two persons--Romney vs whomever Palin endorses.
Sarah keeps her Celebriy status and her high income
She can still get out and rally the troops (base
of Republican party) and life goes on. She is still
Queen Sarah.

Just some musings -- another view.

5. She was a big help in Obama's 2008 win.
Maybe she'll come through for us again.

6. My personal take is that SP IS already running.
But she will never announce her candidacy because that will mean that she actually has to do the same work as the other candidates, e.g., appear on talk shows, participate in debates, and campaign relentlessly. By not announcing, she can run a parallel campaign, picking and choosing her moments for the most dramatic effect.

If she doesn't announce, she can merely keep showing up where the other candidates do, drawing press attention away from them, keeping everyone wondering, and keeping those who are unhappy with the crop who have already announced wishing that she would step in. IMO, she'll keep playing this game for as long as she can, even up to the Republican National Convention, in the hope that she'll be drafted as a "unifying" candidate.

She really believes that she is loved. She is delusional.

7. StrategiciallyIt's In "Our" Interest For Her Not To Run
She splits the "crazy" vote with Bachman and Perry allowing Romney to slip in. Romney is the Repub's strongest candidate.

8. Maybe but Romney will not fire up the Republican base. Makes Obama tough to beat.
On paper Romney is the strongest candidate and has the least wing-nut crazy baggage. But there are many in the Republican base and tea party who will stay home rather than vote for Romney.
