Need help. Looking for a word.
If the poor use government to rip off the rich, that's class warfare.
If the rich use government to rip off the poor, that's what?

The only words that come to my mind right now are corruption, oligarchy and capitalism, but that can't be true.
Maybe I should ask a republican.

1. We're not trying to rip anybody off.
We're just demanding fairness so we can have equal opportunity and a safety net in tough times.

2. I meant "class warfare" in its historic sense, not in Fox News newspeak.

3. The Republicans have been practicing "class warfare" in favor of the rich.
It is as simple as that.

11. Kleptocracy.
Kleptocracy, alternatively cleptocracy or kleptarchy, from Greek: κλέπτης (thief) and κράτος (rule), is a term applied to a government subject to control fraud that takes advantage of governmental corruption to extend the personal wealth and political power of government officials and the ruling class (collectively, kleptocrats), via the embezzlement of state funds at the expense of the wider population, sometimes without even the pretense of honest service. The term means "rule by thieves". Not an official form of government such as a democracy, republic, monarchy, or theocracy; a kleptocracy is rather a pejorative for a government perceived to have a particularly severe and systemic problem with the selfish misappropriation of public funds by those in power.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleptocracy

Jared Diamond offers a more relaxed definition of kleptocracy, suggesting that all governments are kleptocracies to one degree or another because all of them use their authority to redistribute wealth. One could probably argue that redistribution always trends toward enriching those with the most wealth and power.

The United States of 2001-2009 perfectly satisfies either definition.
