'Occupy Seattle' Protesters Clash With Police

Some "Occupy Seattle" protesters, refusing an order to take down their tents at Westlake Park, skirmished Wednesday with Seattle police, resulting in about 10 arrests. The first arrest is shown above just after 2 p.m.

The protests that occurred during the WTO hearings and meetings in Seattle.

By shutting those World Trade Org meetings down, the protesters guaranteed that the European ministers to the WTO would not have a chance to sign on to the GMO agreements.

As a result, we have researchers, especially in France, who have concrete examples and evidence of how detrimental GM seed and food happens to be.

Long Live the people of Seattle. They truly make things better for humankind! (I wish they weren't always having to do it at the wrong end of a billy club or pepper spray cannister)
