The Cost Of Bush Tax Cuts For The Richest 5 Percent: $11.6 Million Per Hour (Think Progress)

The National Priorities Project, in partnership with Citizens for Tax Justice, has released a new site tracking the ever-growing cost of the Bush tax cuts. They found that the tax cuts for only the richest 5 percent of Americans “cost the U.S. Treasury $11.6 million every hour of every day.”

1. Then it's a good thing we are going to lapse it.

2. Yup,
but it's a good reminder to the those pushing RW talking points. If Republicans in Congress or running for the Presidency could have their way, this policy would become permanent.

3. Is "temporary for ever" like we have now, better than "permanent"?
I see no end in sight for the tax breaks. And I imagine that the OWS crowd would agree with me.

5. Well
"I see no end in sight for the tax breaks."

...until there is another vote to extend it, the end is December 31, 2012.

7. Your Joking
It will end unless it doesnt.

The republicons managed to get Pres Obama to extend it once, what makes us hope they wont do it again?

Again, is "temporary forever" better than "permanent"?

8. Tell you what:
"The republicons managed to get Pres Obama to extend it once, what makes us hope they wont do it again?"

When that's close to happening, bring it up again. As it stands now, it's not happening.

Again, an extension requires a vote.

9. Yes, an extension requires a vote. What make you think the Democrats wont vote to extend again? nm

thanks to cherokeeprogressive for dropping a brick wall on yet another of the op's ceasless efforts to make an end run around the truth and turn any report that could reflect negatively on Obama to a bright and shiny victory
