Senate Dems To Unveil Component Of Obama's Jobs Plan

Sens. Harry Reid, Robert Menendez and Robert Casey on Monday will announce the first individual component of President Obama’s jobs plan, the Teachers and First Responders Back to Work Act. The bill will “help states and local governments keep teachers in the classroom and police officers and firefighters on the beat, according to the announcement.

3. Oh they will & they will cite deficit spending or tax hike concerns, depending on how it is funded.
They are predictable anti-American, economic terrorists.

10. The bill aims to rehire 400,000 teachers, cops and firefighters
It's a start--and a good one.

9. As if none of the protesters are laid off.
Tell the cops to stop beating and arresting the protesters.

Maybe there are too many cops if they can manage crime and the protesters at the same time.

8. It helps keep people in their jobs not hire people who were laid off.
For the truly desperate and long term unemployed, there is nothing.

12. Apparently, the bill would do both.

Either way, it would put money in people's pockets and help the economy, as well.

13. You're right.
My frustration with the FOP is my own. I can't/shouldn't allow myself to forget the good of the overall picture.

I know there are good police officers, but sure would like to see some step up.

I guess this has to get a bit bigger before the police understand that they are not wise in supporting the 1%.
