1. America is going down the toilet and you're entertained by these facilitators of misery? nt

5. Yes. Why the hell not? We have spent the last ten years losing
to these jokers - why not feel joy and satisfaction that they are taking a major dive.

What better thing could happen for all of us ? (including the lowest among us)

lighten up

16. I'm not rejoicing.
One of them STILL could be the next President. Haven't you been paying attention to what all the Republican Governors have been doing to voting rights?

21. It's all relative. I am comparing our current situation to one where
we could have been facing a formidable, non-crazy opponent

Yes, about the attempts to suppress the vote. That is why I wish Howard Dean was still around. He always
stressed the importance of who controlled the states and secy of state positions.

3. It'd be more entertaining if I had more faith in the intelligence of the voting public.
But I think too many are easily distracted by the shiny bouncing balls of "Reality" TV and ridiculous pop culture personalities.

In other words, America is being dumbed down and a lot of people seem to be blissfully ignorant and easily led.

The biggest chance to pull it back is to finally have the economic time bombs set by previous administrations go off in time for people to wake up and pay attention to what the government may do to them in the wrong hands.

6. You are so right.. But, in the end, I sincerely believe that truth, and
goodness, and common sense win out. It may take years to build critical mass. But, we're there...I feel it.

17. And if I believed that everyone who wanted to vote would be able to vote.
The Republican Governors are making that as hard as possible.

10. Huntsman may come out on top.

Not sure if that is good or bad; if he did win POTUS, we'd be a lot better off than if any other of those clowns got into office.

14. no, I don't think so. Just be the dramatically better choice.

It's clear that Republican base doesn't want Romney. So if Huntsman can become the flavor of the week, he might stay that favorite flavor for the rest of the primary season.

Then again, it is the republican base we're talking about....

9. I saw it first in the SC primary between W and McCain.
The GOP has spawned a cadre of political hit men who will do anything, say anything to get their guy elected. It could not be contained as only a tactic against Democrats. They will use these tactics against us, sure, but they can't help themselves and so they will destroy each other. Quite Greek tragic theater when you think about it.

negative does not survive and people move toward that which is good. No?

15. The media would much rather cover a juicy sex story than the unwillingness of...
the Repubs to help alleviate this jobless crisis. This is the shiny object the M$M was longing for. It's not all bad though, because we have two of the nutters' camps fighting each other in public.

18. The sex story is exciting compared to covering Mitt, which is like reporting from a bad funeral.
Where the important person is dead and everyone else can't wait to get the hell out of there because they couldn't stand him when he was alive.

22. Per MSNBC this morning - money flooding into Cain's campaign since harrassment story broke
A few minutes ago, they were interviewing Michael Steele and noting that Cain raised over $600,000 over night following the breaking of the story on alleged sexual harrassment. It was explained that the story about Cain only served to reinforce Republican support for their frontrunner.

Cain should have strangled a little disabled child on live TV and her puppy. He might have doubled his campaign funding. It seems that the Republican Party is like the Addams Family, where everything good is bad and everything considered bad is good. Plus, like the Addams Family, it's a comedic horror show.
