1. Yeah, but they're not the "right" promises. Only Greenwald & Hamsher can dictate which promises are
worthy, doncha know? ;) Rec.

3. .But, c'mon, now!
I read right here, every day, that he has done NOTHING he promised us he would do! All those "kept" promises must have been the ones he made to the far right, doncha think?

K&R, by the way. Our president is doing a superb job in the face of such adverse circumstances and unreasonable opposition.

4. The only major policy promise Obama delivered was repealing DADT.

And that was apparently because it didn't cost the rich anything.

All the other policy changes important to his base he has apparently given up on--close Gitmo, stop pols from becoming lobbyists, end no bid military contracts, allow judges to renegotiate unfair mortgages, increase taxes on capital gains, repeal tax cuts for the rich, allow re-importation of prescription drugs, walk with picketers when collective bargaining rights are threatened, refuse to sign a health care reform bill without a public option, renegotiate NAFTA, end the era of reliance on Big Oil (see Keystone pipeline), pass the card check law to make businesses easier to unionize.

On edit: he also finally decided to end the Iraq War, but only because the Iraqis threatened to try US soldiers and contractors under Iraqi law in Iraqi courts, heigh ho.

I do like his jobs bill, and that's important. I give him credit for that. He should be focusing on jobs right now, and he is.
