ETA: Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild is on the Advisory Board. That should tell you all you need to know.

1. Isn't she the prominent Dem supporter who quite publically
went republican once Barack Obama became the official Democratic nominee for President in 2008?

3. Yup. And she was on MSNBC as a "Hillary Clinton Supporter" rather than a
"Democratic Party Supporter." She's a PUMA for sure.

2. NYT's Tom Friedman says it's financed with 'some serious hedge-fund money'
“Our goal is to open up what has been an anticompetitive process to people in the middle who are unsatisfied with the choices of the two parties,” said Kahlil Byrd, the C.E.O. of Americans Elect, speaking from its swank offices, financed with some serious hedge-fund money, a stone’s throw from the White House.

4. Also from your article:
"If President Obama wants to run with John Boehner on the Americans Elect platform that would be fine — provided they go through the process. (President Obama should dump the Democrats and run as an independent, which he is, at heart, anyway.)"

Yeah, this makes sense. :eyes: Chris Matthews asked Ackerman if there is anyone pro-choice in the running. He pointed out that Christie Todd-Whitman is pro-choice. He refused to answer. Chris said he doesn't want this to turn into a Ralph-Nader-type thing. I think he smells a rat. So do I.
