MSNBC's Mika On Newt's Surge: "Republicans Clearly Don't Want To Win"

Video @ link~

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski once again is dismissive of Newt Gingrich and offended because he is a Republican frontrunner and is taken seriously.

"You know what? At this point, I'm pretty excited," Brzezinski answered sarcastically to host Joe Scarborough asking how excited she is for Newt.

"Well, I just think it's probably really good news for Obama. So I'm not going to get caught up in, you know, what a hypocrite he is. It doesn't matter," Mika said about Newt Gingrich's rising popularity and poll numbers.

Scarborough jumped in on Mika's piling on of Gingrich.

"Just stop that. Come on," Scarborough said to Mika.

"No!" Brzezinski said. "Because that will all come out in the wash. So, what's great is that the Republicans clearly don't want to win and that's good for Obama."

1. Is she for Obama? or just against Newt? Would she be happy if it were Romney?
I dont' know because I never watch Morning Joe. I know Joe, of course, is rooting for any republican.

I think that, privately, TPTB in the GOP have basically written off the WH in 2012. This isn't to say that they're not going to try, of course, and if it gets really close, they may try to steal it again but just being "not Obama" (or even the economy) may not be enough to put them over the finish line and, let's face it, their candidate roster isn't exactly high-caliber either. IMHO they will fight tooth and nail, however, to win the Senate and hold on to the House, which is where we REALLY need to make sure people turn out. This past off-year election has demonstrated some resistance to the Republican Tea Party, so I'm confident that if we can get people out to vote, we can fight them off.
