Hi admins,
I was recently informed that I was being put on forced ignore with a poster.
While I understand the concept of forced ignore, what is the purpose of forcing people on ignore who have had no contact with one another? This particular poster has run around alerting on my threads for no reason and getting them locked in addition to aggressively attacking posters in the black forum right and left. I sent her a very nasty post/PM telling her that I was putting her on ignore -- TWO MONTHS ago. I have absolutely no interest in what this person has said since (and honestly, haven't had any interest in this poster in well over a year), have not responded to a single post or comment they've made since that November 1 post, have put them on PM ignore so that they are unable to contact me, and have made no attempt to contact them in any way shape or form.
So having said all of that, why I am being forced into "mutual ignore" with this person. If this poster has a problem with me which it is apparent that she does, why not force HER to put ME on ignore? Isn't that the entire purpose of the ignore function?
Put yourself in my shoes -- how would you feel about being penalized because someone with problems has a problem with you and instead of using the tools this site provides (the Ignore feature) goes and complains to the admins to intervene when you have made no attempt to communicate with them in ANY way in almost two months and have no intention of ever doing so again? Your response is appreciated.
