Opening a thread from before July 2003

Sometimes when I try to open a thread from the old board (prior to July 2003) it opens OK, and other times I get the message

SCRIPT ERROR!!! There was an error in processing your request.
Following is the error message:

* Script Message: Error in subroutine readdata: Can't open /home/httpd/html/duforum/DCForumID62/Data/702.txt
* System Message: No such file or directory

Please notify the administrator of this site.

Thank you.

Would you know why this happens, and is it something that you would be able to fix? Would it be considered important enough to fix?

1. We aren't going to fix it. But there is a way that YOU can fix your link so it works.

Change the "www" to "upload". This will point to the correct server. So your link would look like this:

http://upload.democraticunderground.com/cgi-bin/duforum/duboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=702&forum=DCForumID62
