How does someone who has been banned find out why it occurred?

What steps should he/she take if they feel that the action was not warranted?

1. It is my opinion that most banned people know why they have been banned.

They may not be willing to admit it to themselves or to their friends, but deep down they know.

And the final option is to email me, but that rarely works.
