Is there any chance of restricting anecdote / news article based posts in the Guns forum?
The number of news articles being posted in the Guns forum, many of which have little or nothing to do with pubic policy or useful discussion, has reached an absurd level. It's basically degenerated into a kind of passive-aggressive flamebait where each article is "proof" or one point or another, no matter how ridiculous the connection is, and it's squelching any legitimate and intelligent discussion. I'd like to ask the mods to take a slightly more aggressive stance in weeding out the threads which don't contribute anything. The Guns forum is not a repository of "True Crime" stories.

1. Apparently, the partisans in that forum seem to think that the articles are relevant.
