Why is this post not a personal attack?

Why did I alert five times and never get a reply or action from your mods? You ask us to remain civil and use alert. Why, when it is like yelling into a black hole?

Within that post, DU member "phleshdef" posted a reply upon which I alerted. In the course of the now-deleted subthread, I reminded DU member "phleshdef" that we are to discuss ideas and not people. You have said that yourself. Clearly, you meant that to mean other DU members, not politicians. In that the cited subthread was deleted, your mods agreed with my position.

When DU member "phleshdef" posted in the first link, above, in reply to me, he repeated those words - mocking me (personal attack) and carrying an argument over from a locked thread (also against your rules).

Why was DU member "phleshdef" allowed to have that post stand, even after repeated alerts to your mods? DU member "phleshdef" really has, as his/her issue, my criticism of Obama and wishes to strike out at me.

That, essentially, is against your rules, is it not?

To be honest, I'm not sure it should have been. Seemed pretty borderline to me.
