Sometimes I will see a post with 21 recs, but only 210 views -- so 10% who took the time to look at it recced it; that's pretty high. Then I will see something with 120 recs, but 5000 people had looked at it -- so the percentage is far less, even though the number of recs is higher. The percentage does get more diluted as more and more people post, because sometimes people come back to read replies left for them. But still, especially when an interesting, non-flashy post could use some more attention -- the percentage of recs would be a good indicator of how interesting a thread is.
Just a suggestion -- in case you're not getting enough of them...:-)
