Question: I have read the faq but still can't find an answer

I have been a member here for many years but my post count has remained at 242 for some time. Am I doing something wrong? Or is my counter broke that tells me how many posts I have made?

1. Your post count says 243 now

Perhaps there is some confusion here... your post count appears on all of your posts, but it always displays the current post count. So for example, it doesn't say "121" on your 121st post -- it would say whatever your current post count is.

So if you have 242 posts, when you look back at all your previous posts, they will all say "242" -- until you make your 243rd post, in which case they will all say "243", and so on.

Hope that makes sense.
