I mean you were already made a buffoon of last night at the correspondence dinner but hell - there is so much more we can pile on top of that.

Your presidential bid could make Fred Thompson's run in 2008 look widely successful.

And seriously, with these cast of characters considering a GOP run for president - we need someone to make Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann not as batshit crazy.

Go for it - I D-Double-Dog-Dare you!

1. He has the finances to run as an independent ... why won't he run on his reputation instead
of hitching a ride on the Repugniconvicts?

I mean, you constantly hear about how horrible it is that people give money to the candidates ... people have been giving money to "The Donald" for decades ... quite often losing their shirts ...

Let him run as the "voice" of, and as the candidate of, the "Independents" (big and small I) ... let's see how well his ego fares then ...

Kinda like how Arnold Sch... would have won the popularity contest for California Governor, and that was why the Repugs had to have him run as Repug ... the real Republican candidate fared far worse than the Dem candidate ...

2. It very well might.
He's got an ego that doesn't quit and his humiliation at the WHCD may fuel his decision to carry on this faux campaign. I hope it does and he runs as an independent. His birther campaign could pull about 10-15% of the rubes that otherwise would vote Republican.

3. Given that 69% of republicans are birthers or "aren't sure" you never know.

4. We need public financing of campaigns period.
He can run all he wants but he will have the same campaign chest as any other qualifying candidate. I wonder under a system like that if he would even qualify?
