Now what?
You may have read my previous post where I, speaking out of turn from GenX, asked the Boomers what next. The message I got was they don't know any better than we do.

Now what? Who the hell knows!

- Right now the climate of the planet is heating up so fast and so destructively that super-storms are now the norm
- Right now the government would rather you be a rapist than a pot smoker. Penalties for rape vs the mandatory minimums mean you can get out of prison after 5 years for rape, but not for possession of a specific amount of pot.
- Right now the Tea Party, John Birch Society and other racist and anti-American groups still think they speak for the 'silent majority' (silent my ASS)
- Right now Teabaggers in CA want to rename Mt Diablo to Mt Reagan. I have a major complaint in that the mountain in no way resembles a prick
- Right now, despite the WI protests, Republican Governors want to gut Unions

I could go on, but I won't

You guys read the news

You know what's going on

So now what?

1. Usually fights are for the young
What are you and your generation going to do??
The boomers had the 60's and 70's
Free love, sex, drugs and rock-and-roll ....... Vietnam

Or perhaps you tell us where you want to go and we will help you

It is my opinion that the liberals and rationale republicans have to work together to take control of this country or it will either end in serfdom or blood, all generations

2. We had the tech age
The 1990s changed our current lives more than the 1960s and 1970s combined

The 1980s, well yeah they had a hand in it

But remember the great standoff under Clinton? Where massive military installations were decomissioned right and left?

That needs to happen about 10 more times

And then we have money again

3. That seems to be the question and problem
How do you convince TPTB that killing is not the answer
A country that wants to be a true leader has to do it by
example and not by force. This country has forgotten that rule.

Right now in this country there is no true separation of powers.

6. The tech age was made by those older than X and Y gens
The tech age was not made by the youth, as we all know.

5. STRIKE
Starve the corporate machine.

If they all leave the US and go offshore, good riddance.

Yes, old jobs will be lost, but we will be free to create new jobs in new fields.

Yes times will be tough, but we will have renewed our freedom.

STRIKE. Stop corporate Fascism. Starve the corporate beast...

protest in every state. All we ever do is talk shit and act tough on the innertubes. Not enough people are hurting yet. Too many Bommers and GenXers have the "Until it effects me it's not a problem." attitude. Also know as I have mine fuck everyone else. Now go get me another beer, Dancing with the Stars is on.

8. Now we resist. It's the only way. I don't care if POTUS is wearing a red, blue or purple
shirt - we need to be resisting everything Capital is doing to us. A very timely post for May Day. Solidarity!

9. Looking at DU today
The answer seems to be to gush about Donald Trump and other rich people at some dinner. Our version of the royal wedding, yay!
