There's a purported death photo of Osama bin Laden circulating that's probably a fake according to this MSNBC photo blog:

"The Associated Press has retracted a photograph released late Sunday night purporting to show the dead body of terror mastermind Osama bin Laden.

AP announced that it cannot independently verify that the person in the photo is Osama bin Laden nor can it confirm the source.

The photo in question was published earlier on this news site."

However, it is reported that they shot him in the left eye. How did the photoshoppers manage to know that Osama was going to be shot in the left eye days ago (fake picture shows left eye damage)?

the docs were fake but that Bush avoided TANG service is fact. False evidence neither supports nor disproves a fact.

OBL is dead and I don't need a picture.

And based on recent history I do need a photo or some form of corroborative evidence.

and if they were going to fake it why not do on Bush's watch.

I am not seeing a motive for this alleged fraud.

The article I posted never said they faked anything.

They said they had photos so of course people start faking photos. The AP was tricked into believing it. I wanted to point out that there may be fakes out there. The real photos should be released to stop anyone from spreading fakes.

Pointing out that it's fake isn't an endorsement of its authenticity.

Of course it's fake. That's the point.

Where are the real photos?

My gut tells me that photo came from a source in no way, shape or form connected to the US government.

Looks like it was done by a 14 year-old who just got Photoshop.
