Democrats vs. Republicans on terrorism
The most notorious terrorist in the world was taken out on the orders of a Democratic president.

The worst terrorist attack of all time occured under a Republican president. Not only that, but the most notorious DOMESTIC terrorist (McVeigh) was a member of the GOP.

So which party can be trusted to keep us safe now, teabaggers? Stick this into your straw and suck on it!

2. Don't forget that Clinton thwarted a bunch of planned attacks too

Bush wasn't paying attention on or before 9/11/01 and 3000 people were killed in a heartbeat.

3. But but but I thought 9/11 WAS Clinton's fault
They said on Fux News that if he hadn't gotten a bee jay from Monica, Bin Laden would've seen the error of his ways and called the attack off!
:sarcasm:

4. Yeah, I remember how Fux News went down that "rabbit hole" post-9/11
Edited on Mon May-02-11 10:44 AM by Proud Liberal Dem
Everybody's quick to mention what Bush *did* POST-9/11 but not too many people (yet) are bringing up the fact that the Clinton Administration (via Richard Clarke) had already developed a detailed plan to combat Bin Laden/AQ and tried to get Bush to take it more seriously (which he didn't until after 3000 people were killed). So, really, Clinton and his team could (and should) rightfully be considered the architects of modern counter terrorism policy (though I don't think Gitmo, torture, etc. were part of the plan- that got added by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld)- those "tools" that Rove was talking about.

6. Psh, nobody's perfect! And that was all Clinton's fault anyway *puke*
Seriously, how can anyone say * kept us safe? That's like saying Kennedy's SS detail kept him safe except that one day in November 1963 when they didn't.
