Information to find bin Laden came from Secret prisons?
FoxNews claims that the information to locate bin Laden came from the secret prisons. Are any other networks making the same claims?

Do you think this is self-serving disinformation to justify those prisons? Personally, I'm having trouble believing that the Pakistani government didn't just agree to look the other way.

2. From what I hear, it came from good ol' fashioned detective work
Stake outs, asking the locals, that sort of thing. No secret prisons or 'enhanced interrogations' were necessary.

People who were in the area noticed a house that was recently built, that was secured like a fortress, but had no telephone or internet lines hooked up to it.

FOX NEWS INSIDER: “Stuff Is Just Made Up”
February 10, 2011 7:20 am ET by Eric Boehlert

Asked what most viewers and observers of Fox News would be surprised to learn about the controversial cable channel, a former insider from the world of Rupert Murdoch was quick with a response: “I don’t think people would believe it’s as concocted as it is; that stuff is just made up.”

Indeed, a former Fox News employee who recently agreed to talk with Media Matters confirmed what critics have been saying for years about Murdoch’s cable channel. Namely, that Fox News is run as a purely partisan operation, virtually every news story is actively spun by the staff, its primary goal is to prop up Republicans and knock down Democrats, and that staffers at Fox News routinely operate without the slightest regard for fairness or fact checking.

“It is their M.O. to undermine the administration and to undermine Democrats,” says the source. “They’re a propaganda outfit but they call themselves news.”

And that’s the word from inside Fox News.

5. Oh, they're pushing the meme.
She just said it again that the information came from "enhanced interrogation."

8. It's amazing!
Not too much information has surfaced since Obama addressed the nation last night. It seems a little early for details.

Yet FOX News reporters have these kinds of details? Why don't they quote someone?

11. But that doesn't say how the intel was collected...
One person's opinion in support of "enhanced interrogation" (known as "torture" in civilized circles) doesn't tell us how Obama collected the intel for yesterday's raid.

FOX News is delusional...but that's how they operate.

6. I've been hearing this alot as well, and I say
so what if it came from Gitmo. I kind of hope this Gitmo rumor is true. I heard the story that a Gitmo prisoner gave up who the carrier was, way back in 2005. The US has been tracking him for years. This information was passed on to the Obama admin, when Obama came into office. The difference is our guy used the information to take him down. Where as Bush, who had the EXACT same intel, COULDN'T get the job done.

So I really hope this Gitmo rumor is true. It gives us a chance to make a CLEAR contrast of 2 examples of leadership.

The same intel. 2 different Presidents. 2 different results. Ill sign up for this debate any day!!
