Why Does The Media Go To Ex BushCo Employees To Project What We Should Do Now.......
In the last couple of days since the demise of OBL the media has turned to Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell and other lower level employees of the Bush administration and questioned them on what we should do now that OBL is dead.

I don't understand it - why ask them? They didn't protect us from OBL in the first place. They went after Saddam instead of OBL. They let OBL escape from Tora Bora. They didn't catch OBL during their term. They actually disbanded the CIA team that was supposedly searching for OBL. They basically botched up the whole friggin' mess and yet the MSM turns to them for advice as to how Obama should proceed going forward.

I just don't understand how they (the MSM) thinks that we the people even want to hear from these failures.

3. Perhaps they hate it that the President is black
They might think that only a white man can be head of this country.

Perhaps they are just plain out-and-out racists

10. Of course MOST do, but some just hate Democrats period,
especially progressive Democrats who are a threat to their doing business for free, and getting millions back in tax refunds to boot, in this country.

Progressives empower the people. CONServatives enslave them - just the way their corporate Massahs like it.

4. Corporate media is carefully crafting a subliminal message perpetuating the myth
that Republicans keep our country safer than Democrats can. After all, President Obama has declared his reelection bid, so campaign season has begun, and corporations like Democrats, but they LOVE Republicans.

7. I rarely go to CNN but today I did and
heard someone named Carol say to some guest that we should remember Bush did a lot to push for Bin Laden's capture. I quickly left the station.

11. CNN should be called out for the Fox Lite "news" station they really are.
They are blatantly pro-Republican, and I can't stomach watching them at all. So, in that, you're pretty durn brave, asjr!

5. The ongoing campaign to discredit all things Obama while rewriting BushCo*'s history.
Besides, all the Dems are at work... better things to do, and all that.

9. Job #1: Prop up the GOP
The Republican party should have been outcasts after Bush & Co, but the media kept them front and center, even after being decimated at the polls.

13. Why does the media always go to republicans?
The mainstream media has a long-running bias in favor of republicans, and they always assume that on any serious issue only republicans can speak authoritatively.

Democrats are almost always allowed to speak only if they are paired with a republican, or outnumbered by republicans, so that their message never gets presented without being denies and criticized.

Republicans almost always get to present their ideas alone, so that their ideas stand un-critiqued, un-rebutted, unchallenged. On panels, they are like to outnumber their opponents so they can drown out whatever they don't like, or win by sheer repetition.

What people hear the most begins to sound the most legitimate even if it is pure nonsense. The media knows this and helps the republicans use this to their benefit.

17. True. The corporations that own the mainstream media
get excellent returns on their investments by supporting republicans.

Just look at the results at the FCC, changing rules to allow those same media corporations to consolidate, grow, and gobble up small competitors.

Look at the rubber-stamping of ever new purchase and merger, even as it reduces the choices and variety left in the media world and drives up prices.

Look at the overall trend, increasing costs while decreasing the overall access to real news in favor of infotainment and opinions, making it harder for people in the US to get access to information that the rest of the world can take for granted.

And now we are staring down the possibility of losing net neutrality, all so those same corporations can make more money, monopolize the internet, and choke off the free flow of information online too. Republicans, and the ConservaDems who feed from the same troughs, will be the ones who vote to allow corporations to end net neutrality, and it will be the most profitable vote those corporations ever bought and paid for.

14. Good point
but not surprising. They've done this sort of thing so many times.

Of course, there is also the possibility they are hoping one of them will slip up and say something critical of the president at a time when everyone is so proud of him. Then they will end up with the video clip of the week.
