The wife hiding out with Bin Ladin was his youngest and a "gift" from a prominent Yemeni family.
The woman who the White House said charged U.S. Navy SEALs in an apparent desperate last ditch effort to protect Osama bin Laden has been identified as bin Laden's youngest wife, a woman nearly half his age.

The woman, identified by a passport found inside the al Qaeda leader's compound as 29-year-old Amal Ahmed Abdul Fatah, was in the room when the SEALs took the final, fateful shots at 54-year-old Osama bin Laden and was herself shot in the leg when she rushed, unarmed, at the special operators. She was treated for her wounds and is in custody in Pakistan, officials said.

Fatah, bin Laden's fifth wife and the only one left living with him in the house, had been gifted to the al Qaeda leader from a Yemeni family when she was just a teenager and later had three young children with him. Of his other wives, he had divorced one and three others had moved to Syria.

1. The woman identified by a passport found inside the al Qaeda leader's compound
"The woman, identified by a passport found inside the al Qaeda leader's compound as 29-year-old Amal Ahmed Abdul Fatah."

If and when this story checks out (ie. when she can speak publicly, out of 'custody' and confirms both identities), then I'll finally have seen sufficient proof.

2. Well, isn't that nice.
How do people think that it's okay to give a human being to another as a gift? I just don't freaking get it.

6. OBL and child-rearing
according to his son, as reported by ABCNews:

"Osama bin Laden raised his family of five wives (plus one marriage that was annulled) and more than a dozen children in a way meant to make them tough and ready for the rigors of war. He shunned air conditioning and refrigerators in the desert heat, banned toys and the kind of laughter that showed too many teeth, refused to wince when his men used Omar's puppies as the victims in chemical weapons tests. He would cane his children for the slightest misbehavior, at times hitting them so hard the stick would break."

4. I didn't see DU shedding tears when the ten-year-old shot his white supremacist father.
This 12-year-old the Pakastanis have speaking out now was being raised with a fundy mass murderer, and we are supposed to feel sorry for taking him out?
