No inflation, eh? Clorox company raises prices on these items:.."because of inflation"
The maker of bleach, Glad trash bags, Kingsford charcoal, kitty litter and Hidden Valley salad dressings said it is raising prices on many of its items.

Even worse, inflation has spiked to a greater degree than expected, Clorox officials said.

No wonder many people are upset about the economy and Obama's handling of it.

3. That is a little unfair
tell your congressperson you want them to cut oil subsidies
get honest banking reform, break up the big banks,

Prices are high because oil is high

10. Oil is high because Obama chose to rescue our financial parasites, above all else.
Make no mistake, he had a choice. He had the will of an entire nation at his back, the expertise of dozens of brilliant economists to call on, the heads of the major banking cartels in a state of desperation and humility. Despite it all, he chose to prop up these zombies at our expense, with no concessions sought and few demands denied. He appointed Geithner, Rubin and Summers. He ignored Volcker's warnings. He extended the Bush tax cuts to the wealthy. He pursued more free trade agreements. He let his Chief of Staff bully congress to gut financial reform. He re-appointed Bernanke.

Because of these decisions, our nation will pay a heavy price well into the future. Forget the debt and the deficit. The true burden our children and grandchildren will have to bear is the weight of the parasite class they will be forced to support. We had our chance to crush them, but they are now stronger than ever, thanks in large part to the trillions of dollars they extracted from us with the overwhelming help of this administration.

14. Obama is the chief executive/President
So he will ultimately get the blame if the economy is sour. The buck stops with him. That is how we roll in America, like it or not.

8. +1
"And the reason the CPI is losing credibility is that, as economist John Williams tirelessly points out, it’s a bogus index. The way inflation is calculated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics has been “improved” 24 times since 1978. If the old methods were still used, the CPI would actually be 10 percent."

down, so that makes up for the inflation in other things, right? <sarcasm>

11. That only helps if you have access to the cheaper dollars
Wage increases typically lag inflation by quite a stretch. Years even.

9. Ever notice how now you cannot get a gallon container of Clorox bleach?
You can, however, get a 3 quart container for about what the price of a gallon used to be.

15. I think I heard it on NPR....
That bleach is a petroleum based product, and one their goals was to get of petroleum based products. They have a "green" line but it costs more than petroleum based products but with the increase in oil prices the other prodcuts become more feasible.
